LeighLeigh Brandon, CMTA, FDN, CHEK IV, FDN Workshop Instructor

Leigh’s career in health and fitness began in 1996 as a personal trainer in London. Today, Leigh combines many skills including exercise, dietary and lifestyle change and sports massage to help his clients reach their potential. He is a graduate of the Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Course and employs functional lab testing in his holistic approach to health. His outstanding grasp of the details and superb client education skills prompted FDN Founder, Reed Davis, to ask Leigh to help teach FDN in the UK.

Leigh has had great success helping people overcome back, neck, shoulder and knee pain, chronic fatigue syndrome, gastro-intestinal problems, skin complaints, achieve their ideal weight and has helped athletes both amateur and professional improve performance, win medals and eliminate recurring injuries. Leigh’s clients have included British and European champions and record holders and Olympic athletes.

In addition to his practitioner skills, Leigh is the author of “Anatomy of Strength and Fitness Training for Speed and Sport”, “Anatomy of Sports Injuries for Fitness and Rehabilitation” and “Anatomy of Yoga for Posture and Health”. Leigh also presented at The International CHEK conferences in 2008 and 2011, and presents workshops and courses to health and exercise professionals.
Paul Chek, the founder of the CHEK Institute said, “I’ve personally been involved in much of Leigh’s training as he passed through CHEK Level 1 all the way to CHEK Level 4. His own transformation is evident in what he now offers his clients as a highly skilled therapist, and what he offers all of us as an astute educator”.
When Leigh manages to get some down time, he enjoys getting out on the tennis court and showing the youngsters what’s possible in a 40 something year-old body. He prides himself on his speed and agility around the court and wishes he could hit the ball as well as he moves. He also spends time DJ’ing soulful, funky house music for his friends to enjoy.
