FDN is an emerging field and growing body of work that bridges the gap between Clinical Nutrition and Functional Medicine.

Reed delivers a variety of presentations and testing services to many organizations, including St. Jude’s Hospital in Fullerton, CA and the United States Marine Corp. in San Diego, CA.
Reed is considered the “Columbo” of health. Like the wily and venerable detective, Reed follows clues that reveal the underlying causes of his clients’ health complaints. By using the latest, cutting edge technology and testing methods he helps people overcome common health complaints and even serious diseases. While Reed does not diagnose or treat medical conditions, helping people correct mal-functions can lead to vibrant health and vitality, even though that person may have been previously diagnosed with a medical condition.
You should always consult with your personal physician before starting any therapeutic protocol including vigorous exercise, changes in diet and nutritional supplementation.
Jill Philo ND, FDN Mentor
Jill’s passionate interest in alternative health started almost fifteen years ago because she was suffering from debilitating migraine headaches. Prescription medications had no effect and actually made her feel worse, so she started researching alternative solutions. The more Jill looked into natural alternatives as a way of improving her own health, the more she wanted to learn. So, natural health care quickly became Jill’s new vocation and she now works as a natural health educator and consultant. Jill focuses on helping clients to be proactive in their health rather than reactive.
Jill has extensive experience in a range of health assessment tools including the use of Metabolic Typing®, Functional Diagnostic Nutrition®, LEAP-MRT and the CoRe. Her consultations are tailored to each client’s individual needs and transformation is facilitated through awareness and motivation for results that will last a lifetime. Jill’s approach with each client is to investigate multiple levels (physical, emotional, informational and energetic) in order to address the root cause of health issues and to educate clients about effective health strategies on each of these levels.
Prior to this new vocation, Jill worked in business, focusing on client training and skills development. In 1994 she studied aromatherapy extensively under Michael Scholes, and in 1997 Jill became state certified in massage therapy, becoming nationally certified (NCTMB) in 2002. Her research and interest in using natural therapies has continued to expand over the years and in 2003 Jill received her Doctorate Degree in Naturopathy. In addition to her extensive experience Jill is also a Certified Metabolic Typing advisor, Functional Diagnostic Nutritionist, NAET Practitioner, Neurogistics provider and certified Inergetix practitioner and massage therapy instructor.
