FDN Course Outline

  • You’ll complete two personal lab tests including an adrenal stress profile, plus sex hormone, digestion and detoxification assessments - using BioHealth Diagnostics #205 and #101 test kits. The first step to helping our clients is to understand and assess ourselves. Reed’s clients usually pay over $600 for this package alone!
  • You’ll receive a personal consultation with an FDN Mentor to go over your test results and protocol. These telephone sessions may be recorded and sent to you for repeated listening and example of how to deliver a results and recommendations consultation.
  • You’ll attend 10 Teleconference Sessions with Power Point presentation. Each session is 2 hours and full of practical “what to do” and “how to do it” training. Reed’s exciting approach and training is motivational and attention getting. These are archived and available to you any time, day or night
  • The FDN Course is full of Case Histories and examples of how you will help people overcome their chronic stress related health complaints
  • You’ll watch several video segments presented by Reed Davis at filmed lectures around the country and listen to many taped consultations
  • You’ll participate in practical exercises with FDN Staff

6 Steps to Becoming a Successful FDN Provider

Step 1 Register and Get Tested

  • The course fee is still only $1148.00 for the Advanced Online FDN Certification Course - includes all ten FDN modules with over 50 additional training sessions
  • Optional FDN “Live” course includes a two-day FDN Seminar presented by the CHEK Institute for an additional fee of only $297. Next class held December 11 -12, 2009. See registration page for payment options. Limited seating available.
    • Live version presents the FDN modules 1-5 only, prepares you for exams and helps you integrate FDN. Modules 6-10 are taken online
    • Seating available as long as “Live” course is listed on the registration page
  • After your registration is confirmed you will:
    • Complete two lab tests - one saliva and one urine. You pay half price lab fees - a $284 value for only $142 (lab fees not included in registration fee)
    • We’ll ship your personal test kits to you on the day that you register.
    • You will also receive a practitioner info package from BioHealth Diagnostics Laboratory and test kits for your patient/clients
  • Eventually you’ll stock these kits in your office and dispense them with full confidence (BioHealth will supply you with kits at no charge)
  • Complete the New Client Intake Forms exclusive to FDN to help interpret each case. These are also included in course materials along with customized case management forms, liability waivers, and everything Reed developed over the years - no need to invent your own.
  • Submit saliva and urine specimens to the lab (remember, you pay only half price lab fees if you register now)
  • Lab forwards test results to Reed who will send you a complete interpretive package like with any normal client. FDN Staff will go over the results with you on the phone
  • You’ll see and hear, as a client experiences, the logic of the test results interpretation and the reasons for following the recommended protocol
  • You may decide to follow the recommended protocol at your discretion; in any case, you will receive a wholesale account with BioHealth Diagnostics for all products.

Step 2: Start Learning!

  • With registration, you will receive log-in to access all areas of the web site including FDN Modules 1 – 10 and other amazing materials
  • You also listen or watch all FDN Course Videos and recorded consultations
  • Download all FDN Practice tools and use with your first FDN clients or patients
  • Take each lesson one step at a time on your own schedule
  • Attend all ten FDN Modules. The pre-recorded teleconference sessions, with Power Point presentation slides included, will be a whole new encounter for many
  • Even if you are an experienced clinician, working with FDN test data on a functional, pre-disease level is powerful
  • Learn which tests are needed on a case by case basis with your clients
  • Learn how to interpret each test, making you a scientific and effective clinical nutritionist (a Functional Diagnostic Nutritionist!)
  • Learn how to help even the most chronically ill by determining physiological “root causes” of ill health through functional diagnostic testing
  • Learn to avoid diagnosis when a functional assessment will serve the patient better - build health from the inside is not the same as treating a disease
  • Learn to prepare documentation of your test results interpretation
  • Learn how to deliver an impressive and motivating report of findings and recommendations consultation
  • Learn how to order the correct supplements, if any, for your client and receive a commission for all sales (domestic only)

Step 3: Complete a Mid-term Review and Mid-term Exam

  • A Bonus Module at the half way point (after Module 5) will tune you up for your midterm exam and practical exercise
  • Additional recorded consultations with real patients will give you remarkable insights and knowledge of how to practice FDN
  • You must complete the online midterm examination (multiple choice and T/F) to gain access to Modules 6 - 10

Step 4: Complete a Practical Exercise with your FDN Mentor

  • You’ll role play in a practical exercise with an “mock up” client played by your FDN Mentor
  • We provide you with test results, patient history and all FDN Intake information on a patient
  • You’ll prepare your results & recommendations report and make an appointment with your “Client”
  • Your FDN Mentor assists you as needed in the preparation and then role play during the consultation
  • You’ll receive a complete report with consultation tips and how to improve your FDN delivery

Step 5: Complete two test kits each with two of your own patients

  • Once you pass the midterm exam and participate in the practical exercise, you’ll be ready to consult with your own patients about test results
  • You’ll be ready to use FDN testing to help clients on a causal level with most hormonal, immune, digestive, and detoxification related problems
  • Upon registering for the FDN Course, the lab sends you your own test kits to be distributed to your patients as you wish
  • The FDN Certification Course requires you to dispense both the #205 and #101 test kits to two of your own patients clients
  • You will receive your patient’s test results directly from the lab as a new lab client
  • Your FDN Mentor will coach you through each of your first two clients, helping you develop the correct interpretation and protocols
  • After you have completed the FDN Certification Course, the lab will provide you any additional interpretive assistance

Step 6: Complete FDN Final Exam and start practicing FDN

  • Once you have completed all ten FDN Modules plus; your own personal testing, a practical exercise, the mid-term exam, two test kits with two of your own patients, and the FDN Final Exam, you will have completed the FDN Certification Course
  • Our mission is to educate as many people as possible about Functional Diagnostic Nutrition™ so that they, in turn, may educate others
  • You will be fully deputized to go out and teach your patients and clients about an empowering health care model
  • You will receive a beautiful FDN Certificate of Completion signed by FDN founder Reed Davis
  • Licensed practitioners will have a professional account with the lab for all testing
  • Non-licensed practitioners must order testing through a licensed provider. If you are not currently affiliated with a licensed provider, we will refer you to one that will work with you for as little as $3 per saliva and urine test kit ordered.
  • The new FDN Course is largely completed online at your own pace
  • With registration, you will receive your log-in information to access all areas of the web site including FDN Lessons 1 through 10, plus all FDN Course Videos, FDN Tools, Course Examinations and Exercises
